I had yet another “I don’t feel like making exp” day and I got curious if I could now solo the bear related to the monk meditation tree quest.

It was autumn in Lucentium, so I used my secondary (druid with plant lore) to find me an apple. Then I planted the apple near my pcity and started waiting for the bear to come.

You dig a smallish hole, place the apple in it, and cover it with dirt. The tree has been planted, now begins the wishful wait.
Ack! A bear arrives, attracted by your actions. It has the scent of a delicious apple on its mind, and starts digging about.
You better handle this bear, or this endeavor ends before it really began. While it hasn't found the apple yet, it is only matter
of time it will. You have maybe a quarter of an hour...

I was quite surprised that the bear was quite easy to kill. When I previously tried the bear with 171M totals as lvl83 monktarma, I could not kill it in time. The biggest difference between the previous attempt and current one is probably the eqset. Year ago I had reliable avoids and 180 dex. Now I have UNGODLY avoids and 240 dex.
